Himachal Pradesh Rajya Chayan Aayog (HPRCA) is inviting online applications for 600 vacancies for the post of Junior Basic Teacher (JBT), under HPRCA Advt 05/2026. Interested candidates must submit their Online Application by closing date of 06-04-2026.
Selected candidates will serve as Job Trainees in CBSE affiliated Himachal Pradesh Government Schools. The role involves primary level teaching and managing classroom activities to support elementary education within the State Directorate of School Education.
Recruitment to the posts of Junior Basic Teacher is being conducted under the Job Trainee Scheme notified by the Government of Himachal Pradesh on 19-07-2025. As per the scheme, candidates appointed to Group A, B, and C posts will initially be engaged on a fixed honorarium for a period of two years. Upon successful completion of the prescribed training period, their services will be considered for regularization in accordance with the applicable rules.Vacancies & Eligibility Criteria:

Mode of Recruitment :
The selection process consists of a Computer Based Test (CBT) / Written Screening Test followed by document verification.

The examination will be conducted in CBT or OMR mode. It will carry 120 marks with a duration of 1.5 hours (90 minutes). Each question will carry 1 mark.

- Minimum qualifying marks are 45% for General category candidates and 40% for SC/ST/OBC and Wards of Freedom Fighters. If sufficient candidates do not qualify, the cutoff may be relaxed by up to 5% for each category.
- The provisional answer key will be released after the examination. Candidates can raise objections within 7 days by paying a non-refundable fee of Rs. 200 per question. After review, the final answer key will be published. In case of multiple shifts, scores will be normalized using the Z-Score (Mean & Standard Deviation) method for merit preparation.
- Document verification will be conducted before final appointment. A category-wise waiting list will also be prepared along with the final result, which will remain valid for one year.
Fee Structure :
- All category candidates must pay ₹100 as examination fee and ₹700 as processing fee (Total: ₹800).
- Correction fee is ₹100 for making changes in the application form. Correction window will remain open for 7 days, starting after 3 working days from the application closing date.
- Payment can be made only through online mode (Credit Card / Debit Card / Net Banking).
How to Apply :
Interested candidates may apply for HPRCA JBT Recruitment 2026 by following the steps mentioned below:
- OTR (One-Time Registration)
- If not done earlier, sign up on the HPRCA portal using the “Sign Up” option to create a username and password.
- Fill in personal details, educational qualifications, and work experience (if any), and upload a photograph, signature, and required supporting documents to complete the One-Time Registration. Documents required to be uploaded:
- Matriculation certificate for age proof.
- Degree/Diploma certificates along with mark sheets of all years/semesters.
- Experience certificate(s), if required (valid only after acquiring the required qualification and duly verified).
- Caste certificate, if applicable.
- BPL certificate, if applicable.
- Any other certificates required for eligibility.
- Filling the Online Application Form
- After completing OTR, apply for the post from the list of available vacancies and click on “Apply” for the desired post.
- Choose preferred district(s) for the examination. Final allotment may vary based on availability of centers.
- The application form will be auto-filled from profile data. Verify all details carefully before proceeding.
- Pay the applicable application fee through available online payment options.
- After successful payment, the application will be considered complete.
- No need to send a printed application to HPRCA at this stage. Keep a copy of the submitted application for future reference.
- Correction
- The correction window will be available from 09-04-2026 to 15-04-2026.
- Corrections in permitted fields can be made during this period upon payment of a correction fee of Rs. 100.
